Taylor's 5!!!

For Taylor's Birthday I heart attacked her room while she was asleep.  She was so excited when she woke up and came running into my room beaming!
She has known for a long time that she wanted a Mermaid party, but she also wanted to invited her boy friends to the party.  I thought it would be cute to have a mermaid/pirate party and Taylor loved the idea!  I got the invitations on etsy, and they turned out so cute!

We played Pin the Flag on the Treasure Map, went on a Treasure Hunt and had water relay races.  The kids were so cute and had a blast!  When the guest arrived they were dressed as either a mermaid or pirate, and they got right into character! I made mermaid tails out of beach towels, and they were a hit. Taylor was so excited with every present and would scream "This is exactly what I wanted!" every time she opened one. Taylor loves to be the life of the party, and brings so much joy to our family!  We love you Taylor!

18 Months Old

We have had a busy summer, and I haven't posted about your growth the past couple of months.  You are now 18 months old!!!  You weigh 24 lbs and are in the 50% on everything.
You are still such a busy boy!  You are focused primarily on finding out what cool things your little body can do.  You are always climbing, running and exploring.  You are starting to try and talk...I was a little worried that you aren't talking more, but I am told that this is normal for boys.  You say "Bye-Bye, Dad, Ball and Uh-Oh".  You love to clap your hands, blow kisses, give high five and wave.  You adore your sisters and follow them everywhere they go.  Like the girls were, you are very independent. You do everything on your own.  You are also a very picky eater and have no interest in eating.  I am constantly trying to get food in your mouth, and that seems to be the most difficult challenge right now. You are sleeping better, but are still waking up once a night sometimes.
You are my little stud muffin and I absolutely adore you!!

Independent Eater

The only way this kid will get any food in his mouth is if he feeds himself.  That means lots of messes for me to clean up and lots of patience.  He only gets a couple spoonfuls in his mouth, but it's better than none, right? He refuses to be fed, so this is the only option...

Alpine Slide

One of our summer outings was the Alpine slide up at Snowbird.  It was so much fun and one of the girls favorite things to do.  It was awesome to take Aaron, Kim and Kara up there with us.  I can't believe this place is up the canyon right behind our house-takes us 10 min to get there!

Sunny Days in CA

I went down to CA for 2 weeks with the kids.  Chad had to stay home and work, and we missed him so much! (I think I missed him the most, and I missed having his help!)  We had a crazy time and Cameron was very difficult most of the time.  He didn't sleep well and was teething.  We went to the beach a couple of times, which is always fun.  The girls could play in the sand all day long!  They loved spending time with their CA cousins and family.  Marci took Taylor on a shopping trip for her birthday, and I know that was the highlight of Taylor's trip!  It was really hot while we were there (that is one thing I don't miss about CA!) so we spent a lot of time in the water.  I always love going home and spending time with my sister, mom, family and friends.
