Exciting Discovery!

I have always loved the pink rosa sauce for pasta vs. the straight marinara, but never knew how to make it...well I figured it out! And it's easy and delicious! Just pour it over your favorite pasta, add chicken and you have dinner!

15 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 pint half and half
2 T grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
(You can add more of the seasonings for more flavor if you want)
Heat and serve over pasta-I like to sprinkle some extra parmesan cheese on the pasta!

I hope some of you try this and enjoy it as much as I do:)

Valentines Weekend

I am finally doing my Valentine's posts! We had a fabulous weekend...Chad came down and we spent Valentines Day at Disneyland with the girls. It was really crowded, but after the miracle of finding that employee who hooked us up last time, the day was great! She gave us front of the line passes again and we went to the front of 6 rides! Talk about amazing luck! It was Chad, he spotted her in Fantasy land, and she was happy to hook us up again. I just love to watch Chad with the girls...they adore him so much and he loves to be with them. Then we spent Sunday with family, and went to Chuck E Cheese on Monday. It was a great weekend, and now it's a LONG 3 weeks until I see Chad again. This will all soon be over though, and I can't wait! The wedding countdown is on, and all the planning is going so smoothly!

CHEESE!
Both of the girls wanted to climb on his lap when he played this game at Chuck E Cheese
This past week I took the girls bowling for the first time. After she got the hang of it, Katelyn had a blast!

My Valentine

Sorry this post is so late, but I have to write a post about my Valentine! The past seven months have just been surreal for me. After what I had been through, I just never thought this was possible, but I hoped and dreamed....and it came true! When I was at my lowest, Marci would always say to me, "I am not worried about you because I know that you will get everything you ever wanted." I would just laugh at her and say, "look at my track record!" But she was right. Chad Kelly is my dream come true! He just "fits" into my life, my family, and with the girls. His family is amazing and I love them dearly. It's crazy to think that I only have one more trip to Utah until I move up there with the girls! It has been a long seven months! So, in honor of my valentine, here are a few things I love about Chad:
-Chad has the most amazing faith I have ever seen. He always knew from the beginning that things would work out. And when I had my doubts and worries he would strengthen me and give me faith.
-Chad has an incredible bond with the girls. I always wondered how someone could possibly love me and my girls unconditionally and he has done it from the very beginning
-As my mom would say, Chad has the "happy gene". He is always smiling and has so much energy! He has such a positive outlook on life, and is such a people person. I love to just watch him interact with other people.
-I love that we both love to go out and do things! And we both love to spend time with the family. And we both share the same passion to travel.
I could go on and on, but I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the outpouring of blessings. I am so grateful that the Lord scooped me up, took care of me, put me back together and provided me with the most amazing man ever!
I love you Chad!

Carson J Deleon

I finally get to post some pictures of my gorgeous nephew Carson! Marci's delivery went awesome and I loved watching a birth that wasn't mine! It's just a miracle...amazing how we can create and birth humans. Marci did such a great job, and I am so grateful that every went ok with her after her complications. I am grateful that Julio was able to give her a blessing and was so supportive of Marci. It was scary there for a couple of hours, but everything is perfect now. Carson is perfect and Jordan so far loves being a big brother! Being an aunt never gets old! I am getting my baby fix and it's great!

Here we are at 3am! He was so calm and mellow. While the nurses and doctors worked on Marci for 2 hours, he just laid there patiently waiting for his mama.

Great news!

I am so excited! Today I received the long awaited letter from the First Presidency telling me that my previous sealing has been cancelled. That means that Chad and I are able to be sealed together and can get married in the temple! What a blessing and miracle! This process can take forever and for us it only took one month to get approved. I am so blessed and so excited to be married in the Salt Lake temple to Chad! Nothing else in my life has ever fallen into place like this...they would say it's too good to be true...I say it's about time!

Talents

I wanted to write down some of the girl's talents and tendencies. I am curious if these behaviors and interests will continue to adulthood, so I wanted to make sure I wrote them down.
Taylor is definitely left handed and loves books. She will look at books for hours! And she loves to draw and I think she's good at it for an 18 month old! Taylor also loves cats and animals. She is definitely my girly girl. Both of them love to sing and dance and I love to sing and dance with them!

Katelyn has an amazing memory and can remember songs. She can sing to the beat and stay in tune! I think she is going to be a singer. She can find and keep any beat you give her. Katelyn is also my tomboy and I think she will be very athletic. She has great hand-eye coordination and loves to always be active. I think Katelyn also got the artistic Kirkland gene and will be a good artist.

Last week I took Katelyn to paint ceramics and she had a blast! I am loving that I can now take her to do things like this and she has so much fun. She is finally so much fun to run errands with and she is always up for an adventure!
