The girls loved baby Ava, and Taylor wanted to help with her bath, lotion, and basically everything!  She is in love with this baby girl...who wouldn't be!?

Baptism Pictures

Byron came with us to Temple Square to take Katelyn's baptism pictures.  It was a gorgeous day, and so was Katelyn.  I can't believe she is 8!  It was pretty emotional to see her dressed in white on the temple stairs. I just kept thinking, "Don't forget this place Katelyn.  I hope someday you will return here dressed in white again to marry the man of your dreams."  It was wonderful to spend some one on one time with Katelyn.  She loved all of the attention and her smile shows it.

Katelyn's Baptism Day

Katelyn's Baptism day was perfect.  So many people came to support her from our neighborhood as well as lots of family and friends.  It was also great to have Marci's family, my mom, Greg and his family there too!  It was a big day and I can't explain what it felt like to see my daughter get baptized.  I am so proud of Katelyn and her sweet spirit.  When she came out of the font and I wrapped a towel around her she was overcome by the spirit and began to cry.  I squeezed her and asked her what was wrong.  She said, "Nothing Mom...I'm just so happy!  I know I did what Heavenly Father and Jesus wanted me to do.  I feel so warm inside!" 

 I have prayed so hard that my children will feel and recognize the spirit in their lives, and that they will gain their own testimonies.  This moment was such a tender mercy for me, and I am so grateful to be Katelyn's mother.

Chad baptized and confirmed Katelyn, and that was also a little miracle and tender mercy for me.  I am so grateful to have Chad in our lives and for his example to my children.  He is am amazing man and father, and I couldn't have asked for a better guy.  The confirmation blessing he gave Katelyn so was thoughtful and beautiful.  

After the baptism everyone came over to our house for dinner.  The day was perfect and I am so grateful for all that Heavenly Father has blessed us with.

Happy Birthday Jordan!

Jordan celebrated his birthday with us and we were so excited!  We took the kids to Scales and Tails for a private tour of lots of snakes and bugs. The kids were in heaven!  They held so many scary things, and didn't even flinch.  I talked Marci into taking a pic with me and the huge yellow snake. She wasn't too happy about it, but we got a funny picture! Jordan loved every minute and it was so fun to spend this time together.

4th of July

We headed to Bountiful for the parade and to spend the day with my Mom's family.  Then we went to the golf course in Salt Lake to watch the fireworks that night.  The kids held up really well, and we had a lot of fun.

DeLeons Come to Utah!

We were so excited when Marci's family and my Mom decided to come back to Salt Lake with us after our St. George trip.  We had a fun packed week, and the cousins were in heaven!  We went to Seven Peaks, Jungle Jims, Bountiful, Snowbird and Thanksgiving Point.  Byron and Hayley joined us for all of the adventures too!  I would say we held up really well, considering we were toting 9 kids under the age of 8 around!

Annual Kirkland St. George Trip
