1st Anniversary

Today is Chad and I's 1st Anniversary! It feels like we have been married much longer than that (we do have 2 kids afterall! :)) But time has also flown by. We have been through a lot this year, and there has been a lot of adjusting on both of our parts. Some major events that we have dealt with are moving, living together with 2 kids, my Dad's health issues, my health issues, Chad's job being extremely crazy and then moving again recently! What a whirlwind year! Hopefully 2010 is a much calmer one and we can make a new settled life for our family in our new home.
I look back at 2 years ago and NEVER would have imagined that this is where my life would be. I am very blessed and grateful to have Chad in my life. He rescued the girls and I and I have been waiting for a man like him my entire life. Here are a few things I love about Chad:
His laugh-Chad knows how to have fun and be like a child again. This girls adore him and he loves to be in their world and act like a kid again

Chad truly loves to spend time together as a family. I know this is a rare thing and I am so grateful for it. Every Saturday and any opportunity he gets, he wants to go somewhere as a family.

Chad has the most amazing faith. We wouldn't be married if it wasn't for his faith! I always tell him that his prayers are answered. He just has such an optimistic outlook on life and believes that everything will always be ok.

Along with that, Chad has a rock solid testimony and he lives it. He is such an example of a man who honors his priesthood. It is a new thing for me to get used to, and I will never take for granted what a blessing that is in our home.

Chad is a great provider and husband and father

I love how affectionate Chad is with me. He is always holding my hand, and when we sit together he always has his hand on my lap.

When we argue Chad is always determined to work it out. He is always willing to learn and willing to work at it. He always says, "You just have to teach me"
I could keep going, but these are a few things that impress me about my husband. I love you Chad! Thank you for being patient with me and for sticking with me! Here's to many more years together!

That is so sweet!! It has been so wonderful seeing you meet and fall in love with your prince charming. :) After you've seen and gone through the other side, it really helps you appreciate having the Lord in your life, marriage, and family. Isn't it crazy that even an argument is different. I also think that paying attention and being aware of those blessings also helps in so many ways. I'm so glad for all that you two have found together!! Happy Anniversary
