So, today we finally did it...we put Katelyn in a big girl bed. We have been debating for a while now, and every weekend we decide to wait another week. We were set on doing it this weekend, and then Katelyn got sick! I know we are taking a HUGE risk by making this transition when she is sick, but we couldn't put it off any more. When Greg was building her bed, Katelyn was going crazy! She was so excited to have a bed. As soon as it was built she jumped on it like a crazy woman and then turned to me and asked for her lambie, her blanket and her pillow and then she just laid on her bed for about 15 minutes! It was precious. And then Grandma and Grandpa came over to check it out and she was so proud to show off her new bed. As soon as they came to the door she ran into her room and started jumping on it! We have just put her to bed, and so far so good. We were scared because she started sleeping with her door open (it was the only way we could get her to sleep), and we were sure she would come running out. But we haven't heard a peep. It will be interesting to see what happens if she wakes up in the middle of the night. I will keep you posted!

Chrsitian was a nightmare to switch but both my girls did great! Good luck.
good luck with the big girl bed! we trained kylie so she would play quietly in her room after she woke up so we could sleep in a little more.

hi!
such a cute room with such a cute bed. Sorry that she has been hard to handle but it looks like the big girl bed is working. Good Luck!
Such a cute room! Did you paint that? I just wouldn't have the patience. Connor still isn't in a big boy room yet cause I just can't seem to get it together. Any tips for the transition when the time comes?
