A couple of nights ago, Katelyn came into our bed in the middle of the night, as she often tries to do. Every night when she goes to bed she says, "Can I go to bed with you?" I say no and then she says, "well then I will just come in the middle of the night." I send her back to her room, but this night I was too tired and let her sleep by me. She is a crazy sleeper and has fallen off the bed alot. I think she will have a guard on her bed her entire life! She rolled over, and I knew she was going to fall. I jumped to grab her but was too late. She fell between the bed and dresser and hit her head hard. It was not good and she was screaming. Here's a picture of her ear. It doesn't look as bad as it is in this picture. Now it's black. But thank goodness this is all that happened. I hope this is a lesson to her. I told her, "This is why you sleep in your bed-you have a guard so you can't fall off." But of course she is too smart and replied, "No mom I will just sleep in the middle of your bed so I can't fall off!!!" She sure is stubborn!
On another note...it just keeps snowing! We have about 8 inches and it is freezing! 10 degrees to be exact!

10 degrees is stinken' out of control. It got too hot in my house this afternoon, so I had to open up the slider.
Katelyn's ear is so sad, but I am glad she's ok. They never learn do they? Jackson comes into our bed just about every night. I often don't even notice until the morning. He climbs up into the middle though because I can't sleep in the middle!!!!!

OH poor little Katelyn :( ouch! Kid's are too smart for their own good dang it!!!

Poor Katelyn! Been there though. I've woken up to a kid falling off my bed...but they still keep coming! Glad she is okay, I laughed at her remark.
Oh no!!! That looks so painful! I bet her scream was piercing! That's the worst sound! I had no idea she was on this sleeping with you kick. That's new for her, right? I love the snow pics. So crazy that you actually live there! You're a cali girl!
Ow, poor thing. I remember her giving you a hard time at night when she was a baby. Way to hold true Katelyn!

walter fell off the couch this weekend and got a good size bump and even bled a little. luckily, that was it. we've had enough with head injuries! but you're right - they don't learn! they just find new ways.
