This cruise was a once in a lifetime opportunity! We had so much fun! We decided to leave Cameron home with Byron and Hayley. He was too young to take on a trip like this, and although I missed him I knew I had made the right decision. I had so much fun with the girls and got to do everything with them, instead of being in the cabin for a nap or staying on the beach with Cameron. We flew into Orlando a day early and went to the Magic Kingdom. The kids were so pumped and excited to be there with their cousins! There were 24 people in our group, and the kids had a blast! The next day we boarded the Disney Fantasy. I was in complete awe of this boat, and it was even more amazing to see the looks on the girls faces as they boarded and looked around. There was so much to do, and the entire trip was catered to the kids. Disney does it right. There were characters everywhere, food everywhere and entertainment everywhere.
It's hard to condense the experience down into a few words, but I will try. The pools were great and they had 2 splash areas and a water slide that went around the boat. There was a movie theater, disney movies, scavenger hunts, nightly shows, and more. Dinner time was the best because they sat the kids at their own table and the adults at theirs. The waiters took excellent care of the kids and we got to relax and enjoy dinner. Wednesday night was the Pirates of the Caribbean night. They had an awesome show up on deck followed by a firework show off the boat!
The Kids Club was perfect. The girls loved going and could check themselves in and out throughout the day. They wore tracker bracelets the entire time so we knew where they were at all times. Chad and I didn't know what to do with ourselves! They had an entire adult area with pools, hot tubs, saunas and spas. We spent a lot of time there!
The ports were amazing, and the best part was swimming with dolphins! I never thought I would ever do this and the girls were in heaven! We also went out into the ocean to snorkel and swim with sting rays. The girls were freaked out by the rays, I have to admit I was too. It was kind of scary to be in the middle of the ocean with huge sting rays swimming towards you and rubbing on you. After that experience Katelyn would go out and snorkel. She was too freaked out about what may be swimming around her.
The Turtle Farm was also awesome! We got to get into a pool and hold baby turtles! After the cruise we stayed one more day and went to the Animal Kingdom. The safari was unreal and we got closer to wild animals than ever before. I hope the girls remember every moment of this cruise! It was incredible!
THANK YOU PATTI for making this trip possible!
