So, this morning I went to Wal-Mart for the first time with both kids...I know I know, you pros out there with several children are laughing at me, but for me this was a HUGE accomplishment. I have been going to the grocery store with Greg, my mom or my sister since Taylor was born because Katelyn is so hard to shop with. Anyways, this morning I get my self pumped up, psyched and ready to go. I think we are doing really well, until I try to get the girls in the car (Yeah, I only made it down the stairs!) Katelyn throws herself on the garage floor and refuses to get in her car seat, and Taylor starts screaming in her carrier. I force Katelyn into her seat, buckle her in and put Taylor in and keep telling myself that Wal-Mart is just right around the corner. The entire drive, both girls were screaming at the top of their lungs. Once I had Taylor strapped to me in her carrier and Katelyn on one of those rides in the front of the store, there was finally peace. I decided this was now going to be a very quick trip and grabbed the most important items on my list and headed out of there before there was another blow out. All I have to say is, how did my mom do this with FIVE!?
Since the last sticker chart was so successful, I decided to keep it going! I am now giving Katelyn stickers for going potty. She has been terrified of the toilet since Greg held her down on the the toilet and told her to go "poo-poo" after she said she needed to go. Greg was trying to get her all excited about it, but she was not happy about it at all. I am not trying to force her to go, she will let me know when she is ready. But I ask her everyday if she wants to go on the toilet and everyday she says no. So, maybe now that I am rewarding her, maybe she will warm up to the idea.

Way to go on getting out to the store by yourself! It is so hard to do on your own, especially for the first time.
Good luck with the potty training. We have decided to wait until Kylie is 3. She wants Minnie Mouse Panties for her b-day.
Good job on the chart. That is so cute. I keep meaning to make a job chart for my kids. Maybe when I am done working in two weeks I will finally find the time.
Potty training isn't easy. I bought Rylee and little potty seat that she could get on and off of by herself. She'd go in and sit on it with her clothes on just because (and sometimes I'd catch her in there with a magazine). We'd give her candy when she'd go and eventually she was potty trained. Just keep trying.
So, you made it to Wal Mart! Well good for you, I'm proud of you! You were going to have to do it sometime! Jordan is down for his 2nd nap...yeehaw, he's back on a schedule! Love you!
between you and carrie i am not looking forward to two :) i suppose i could look at it another way... like, between you and carrie i will be completely prepared for two! :) thanks for blazing that trail for me! :) heheh.
that is hard. SOme kids are ready and some are so scared of it. She will go when she is ready. I am sure she will hate having to deal with the diaper for a long time anyways. She will figure it out.
