Kindergarten Shots
Katelyn had her Kindergarten Dr. appt. and all went well...well, except for the shots! Everything is so traumatic for that girl. Shots have been nearly impossible for her since birth. She was already bawling with anticipation before the Dr. even got there! She had to get 3 shots, and it was so hard because I had to hold her down. She sat on my lap, and I bear hugged her from behind to keep her arms still. Then I wrapped my legs around hers. They gave her the shots in the leg, and her scream was the worst you've ever heard. It wasn't a girl scream, it was a deep, loud scream of terror. But she survived and we headed to the toy store afterwards. She weighs 52 lbs. and is 44 in tall. She went through a major growth spurt this past year and grew 4 inches! And only gained 2 lbs. She has low blood pressure like her mother...not fun to deal with. I didn't take any pictures...I don't have enough brain power to remember my camera these days. I am just lucky to even make it to the appointment.

I can relate! When Claire got her shots I had to hold her down and she screamed so hard that she burst little blood vessels in her cheeks. They went away after a day or two but the nurse won't soon forget her!
I have been putting off the dentist because I'm not sure I'll make it to the appointment :) Way to go mom!!! And seriously, she sounds like me when I was a child. I too hated shots!!! Pregnancy fixed that; she'll get used to them :)
poor thing! But.. how fun for Kindergarten!
